Windows 10: Windows 10 Problem / Bug with some Bluetooth Phone / Headsets

I have discovered a issue with Windows 10 and recent Bluetooth Headsets / Earphones.


My PC Specs:


Intel I9 9900K

Gigabyte AORUS PRO WiFi

RTX 2080S

64G RAM

4TB NVME

Windows 10 20.04

this issue also happens on my daughter notebook , an HP Envy 17 Touchscreen, same Windows version, so it´s not a PC specific issue


So... let's go. I have 3 bluetooth phones / headsets here:


- VMODA Forza Metallo Wireless buy it in 2017, works flawlessly on my PC / daughter notebook, also on my iPhone / Macbook;

- Apple AirPods Pro buy it in 2019, shows the issue on my Windows PC´s, works flawlessly on iPhone / Macbook;

- Phillips SHB3075BK buy it in 2020, shows the issue on my Windows PC´s, works flawlessly on iPhone / Macbook;


What happens: when you connect / pair the device with WIndows, pairing is successfull.

But, when your play sound, nothing comes from Stereo device. If you choose the Handsfree AG device on taskbar, Mono audio is playing.

Windows never play Stereo sound on Stereo bluetooth device.


How to fix?


- Enter windows legacy Control Panel CONTROL.EXE;

- Sound

- Look at the Handsfree AG device, right click and Disconnect with.


NOW WINDOWS PLAY STEREO SOUND ON YOUR EARPHONES. BUT YOU MISS THE MICROPHONE FROM YOUR HEADSET / EARPHONES.


But, the phones works flawlessly on other OS's macOS, iOS, Linux, so it´s a Windows related issue that must be investigated.

WIndows 10 cannot connect to a bluetooth headset.

• Press Windows key + R, then type in winver.
• Click OK.

• What is the make and model of your headset and Bluetooth dongle?

Bluetooth in windows 10

So I bought a new Bluetooth headphones the skull candy uproar since my old one isn't working. It came with only the headset and usb charging cable. The problem is I can't seem to pair it to my pc. I have windows 10 by the way. There is no Bluetooth on off button in windows settings. I went to device manager but there us no icon for Bluetooth. I did everything I knew but none of it worked.I can post pictures if anyone needs.An alternative might be a Bluetooth dongle but I m not sure I'd it would work plus I paid $50 so don't wanna spend more

I looked up on Internet and many people seem to have issues with windows 10 and Bluetooth. I thought of asking here knowing my UK friends are smart.

Anyone have any idea of how to get Bluetooth to work on my pc.

PS don't curse windows 10. I already know it's a mess and not a very good os.
