Windows 10: Windows 10: Problems downloading and organizing pictures

I have a huge issue with Windows 10. Everything that you could do in windows from inception up until Windows 10 has been revised to the point of having to googled the how to for every little thing. There are millions of users that are NOT tech savvy. It takes us older folks a long time to figure out your "new & improved" ****. I mean simple things you have made more complicated with more steps to it. For instance to select multiple files or pictures you use to click on one, hold down the CTRL key select what you want and drag to the folder you want it or put where you want it. Plain,, simple your done. Now you cant even drag multiple pictures or docs or what ever to a file folder. I have spent 3 HOURS trying to do one simple thing like down load pictures into a file folder on the desktop from my iphone. Not only does it separate pictures into who the hell knows what order but you cant find them in the pictures areas. Some of the pictures say they are down loaded but you cant find them anywhere, you cant drag and drop into the desktop. The pictures are so out of order it is going to take me HOURS to redo this and I am losing money as this is a time sensitive task that you have turned into a NIGHTMARE!!! I need the pictures in the order in which they were taken downloaded in the SAME EXACT ORDER. Why cant the USER DECIDE how they WANT there pictures categorized and in what file folder THEY WANT the pictures to be in???? I cant wait to find out what other nightmare is in store for me with this new improved Windows 10. IF IT WORKS DONT MESS WITH IT!!!!


I am so irritated with this that I could have a few words with the idiots that wrote this and possibly sue them for lost wages and the time it has taken me to try to figure it out. Which hasnt happened yet and I am on over 5 hours. I bought the laptop to save time in the field. All it has done is cost me hundreds of dollars and alot of pissed off clients and time going home to use the desktop with win 8.1. Dont you test your applications BEFORE selling them to make sure it is a USER FRIENDLY app ?? Obviously NOT or I would not be posting this. Its sad that I get a letter from the IT people stating they will only support Windows 10 going forward and I am going to have to eventually upgrade my 8.1 on my desktop maybe by the time I do there will be a USER FRIENDLY version of the new windows out that goes back to the better version of windows that performs task with ease and not this complicated ****. I feel sorry for people who do not have a background in computers as they would not even be able to think thru the process to figure out how to go around the mess. Windows 10 is like getting into a car that has a button on the glove compartment that operates the gas peddle while putting the turn signals on the button that switches the radio stations and having the brake pedal where the gas peddle should be. That is how messed up this is.


All I want to do is take the thousand of pictures on my iphone and put them in a folder on my desktop in the order they were taken and put them in the appropriate folder that I need them in. Can this simple task even be accomplished? If so, how can I get this accomplished?

Quick Access not searching Pictures folder

Summary, that last suggestion didn't work.

• I moved the pictures to another folder temporarily.

• Then I tried to remove the Pictures folder with option one at Add or Remove Folders from This PC in Windows 10 | Windows 10 Tutorials. Even after rebooting, the Pictures folder remained.
• So I tried using option two. Same thing: reboot >> Pictures folder still there.

• Since there were no troubleshooting steps for this scenario, just for the heck of it, I ran through the restore steps. Copied some pictures into the Pictures folder, ran a Quick Access search and initial problem remains: Searching all of QA doesn't find any files in Pictures folder, running search on just the Pictures folder does. I want to run a global search and find matching files in any/all of the Documents, Music, Videos, and Pictures folders.

That article dates from 2015 and I'm guessing is out of date. I hope it didn't create potential future problems in my registry.

Bottom line: I'm still looking for a fix.

 

Windows 10 forced download

I actually had a client call yesterday with an email problem. when I tried walking him through some steps, he says "Yeah, I don't see that there, but I think it's because it's updated to windows 10. It did that a few weeks ago. I came back in on Monday, and it said Welcome to Windows 10"..... I think I'd throw the computer out the window.
