Windows 10: Windows 10 product key unusable after power outage

About a year or 2 ago I bought a product key for Windows 10 for a home built PC. It worked just fine but I didn't link it to my Microsoft account. About a week after installing there was a power outage and when power was restored my PC was identified as a different PC, making the product key invalid, and that product key is now assigned to a PC that I guess no longer exists... For a while I was able to put up with it but now its just driving me nuts with the Activate Windows watermark and the inability to customize anything. Any ideas?

power outage-Windows 10 will not finish booting

Help !!! Had a power outage this morning and now I cannot get windows 10 to complete boot up

It starts the booting process and then my screen goes blank. I cannot even get to the prompt screen? To run any. diagnostics. any suggestions ?ANY HELP WOULD BE SO APPRECIATED!!!!!!!!

Thanks but I don't want to do any decrypting. I want to download a Win 10 ISO from Microsoft and install it using my Win 8 key. No other steps required. Is that possible?
