Windows 10: Windows 10 quarterly update disables OpenCL of graphics driver

Windows 10 quarterly update disables OpenCL. When AMD/Nvidia graphics driver was installed with OpenCL enabled and Windows 10 quarterly update is installed then OpenCL gets disabled. You need to download graphics driver manually again from amd.com or nvidia.com and install manually to get OpenCL back. Why Microsoft disables OpenCL on Windows 10 quarterly update?

Update the Intel graphics drivers.

They have a long history of causing issues with OpenCL, especially when you got the drivers from Windows Update or the motherboard disc.

Disabling the Intel graphics device might also work (if you don't need it).

Method 1:

I suggest you update Graphic card drivers:

• Press Windows key + X and click on
  Device manager.
• Expand Display Driver from the list.
• Right click on the Graphic driver and select
  update driver software.

If the issue still persist follow method 2.

Method 2:

I suggest you to go to the manufacturer’s website of your graphic card and check for any updated drivers available there. If so, try to install them and check if it fix the issue.

If no updated drivers available then try installing the available drivers in compatibility mode.

Refer the steps:

• Download the Drive from the manufacture’s website, Right click on the setup file and select Properties.
  
  
• Click the compatibility tab, tick the box next to Run this program in compatibility mode for and select Windows.

Office disables Windows animations

This can happen when Windows tries to choose performance over display/graphic effects. I would request you to follow the steps mentioned below:

Method 1: Disable hardware acceleration in Office

1. Start any Office program.
   

1. On the File tab, click Options.
2. In the Options dialog box, click Advanced.
3. In the list of available options, click to select the Disable hardware graphics acceleration check box.

Method 2: Update the graphic drivers: Please follow the steps mentioned in the article:
