    Windows 10 Quick Image Process

    Greetings,

Just some background before I dive into my question. I work for a small municipal government organization. We are moving to SCCM for application and OS deployments, and will be getting some setup assistance on this as well as assistance with creating our Windows 10 image in SCCM in the new year. That being said, I have been tasked to deploy about 12 computers (all the same model, brand, etc) to a department and all need to be Windows 10. Rather than go through the manual process of installing Windows 10, Office, etc on all 12 of these systems, what I would like to do is just configure one PC and us that to base an image for the remaining 11 PC.

I am interested if there is a quick and dirty way to do this. What I would like to do is do this the old Windows 7 method where I install Windows 10 in audit mode, do all my configurations, tweaks etc to Windows, install all my apps, and then take an image and put it on a USB key. I've done this using Ghost years ago for Windows 7, but interested if there is a method to do all of this using any of Microsoft's tools. I'm not interested in creating a MDT server, or get into anything overly complicated, as I will be going through that process early next year anyway. All I want to do is save some time from having to manually install Windows and apps 12 times. I have Enterprise licensing for Windows 10, Office, etc.

If anyone has some links to information on how I can set up Windows 10, plus apps, profile tweaks, etc and then create an image that I can deploy using a USB key to the remaining 11 systems, I would be most grateful. I am hoping to do this relatively quickly and in a simple process. I've looked a bit at the Windows Imaging and Configuration Designer - unsure if this is what I can use to simply capture the image to deploy via USB drive.

    Regards,

    :)

Maybe they sacrificed image quality for quick auto-focus & image processing speed?
