Windows 10: Windows 10 randomly asking me to activate it again.

So I've had this Windows 10 computer since the beginning of the year and I've had it activated since I first built my computer. But for some reason, it started showing me the Activate Windows watermark on it. I first thought maybe it was because I haven't enabled auto-updates and it was the computer's way of saying I needed to update it. Well, that didn't really seem to be the thing.Looking further, I went to the Activation section of the settings and see this message: "We can't activate Windows on this device as we can't connect to your organization's activation server. Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.

• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”

Windows 10 freezes randomly

I had already tried turning off fast startup, to no avail.
Will look at the list you provided, thanks. Hard to do when computer freezes on the Windows loading screen though. *Biggrin

I'll revert back to windows 7 then.

When I still was on windows 7, about a year ago I added 4GB extra ram which is a total of 8GB now,
is that causing the problem?
