Windows 10: Windows 10 randomly freezes

Recently, I've been having some problems with my windows 10 laptop.

The problem is that every few days (sometimes a few days in a row, but usually only once a day), everything except the cursor freezes and only a hard restart (holding the power button) works. I can still move my cursor around, but I can't press anything and keyboard shortcuts like ctrl+alt+del or ctrl+shift+esc don't work. The problem first appeared last week.

The laptop is a 4 years old Acer Aspire V 15 (V3-575G) with windows 10.

I tried updating drivers (device manager says that everything is up to date), I looked at the event viewer (I didn't find any events that always happened before the freeze) and I tried running sfc (it says that all system files are fine). I also tried looking up the problem, but I didn't find anything similar. I've updated windows recently, but the freezes started a few days after that, not right away, so I would guess that's not it either.

I have no idea what more to try, and It's making work harder. Thanks for any responses.

I had already tried turning off fast startup, to no avail.
Will look at the list you provided, thanks. Hard to do when computer freezes on the Windows loading screen though. *Biggrin
