Windows 10: Windows 10 randomly restarting my computer for invisible updates. How do i stop this?

I almost never shut down or restart my laptop; i just close it for the night and open it the next morning. Apparently last night my computer restarted itself and I lost a ton of mini self-reminders i jotted down on a notepad text file. This morning as i opened my laptop there were several notifications of "Try this new thing out" which i selected skip on -- i didn't even see what it was, or care, until i realized i lost all my reminders. my mspaint I had open was "recovered" but apparently my notepad file was not.

I checked the update history and my computer doesn't claim to have updated anything and all the settings i can find are set to never restart without asking.

I hate windows 10 and i'm frustrated at how much it does without my permission. How did this happen and how do i prevent my computer from ever restarting on its own?



edit; to give a better example of what happened - its like if your PC shuts down unexpectedly and Windows tries to restore everything the way it was -- all my chrome tabs, my mspaint popped right back up this morning. my mspaint was "recovered" but apparently my notepad file was not.

Throttlestop randomly stopped working after a Windows 10 update

So I had the same problem today after the windows 10 update. This is what i did, I uninstall the update then change the date on my computer to September 1st, then reopen Throttlestop. Now my laptop is working normally again

Is it time for Windows 10 already?

I can't get update KB3035583 on my windows 7 SP1 laptop, also I was missing the optional language packs updates, I have tried "resetting" windows updates Windows Update - Reset - Windows 7 Help Forums and I have tried stopping and restarting the windows update service, did not help.
Would anyone have a suggestion on how to get this KB3035583 update? It's genuine windows 7 SP1 home premium.

Edit: Is this windows 10 upgrade only for people who bought (a computer with) windows 7 SP 1?
I bought this laptop with windows 7.
