Windows 10: Windows 10 Re-installation to New SSD via USB Windows Installer, Now PC only reboots if the...

Hello would like to seek help on my Windows 10 re-installation. I tried to reinstall Windows 10 to my new SSD, but unfortunately it keep on installing to the original HDD instead. Then I read that installing new Windows to PC should only contain the new drive to be installed with, thus I removed the original HDD and retained the New SSD and installed the Windows via Downloaded Windows Media in USB. But after the successful installation of Windows and restart to fully install the updates, upon shutting down and reopening it the PC now won't boot always says "Checking Media" then "Default Boot D

Installing Windows 10 on New PC?

I'm going to be building a new PC on Christmas and want to install Windows 10 on it. I have Windows 10 on my current PC, which I installed upgrading from 8.1 with the files on a USB. How do I go about installing a clean copy of Windows 10 on this new PC? I think I recall something about installing it once makes Microsoft recognize your hardware, but since this will be a PC I'm not sure what steps I need to take. Do I need to go 8.1 -> 10 or is there a method of going directly to 10?

Partition SSD during windows 10 install

I'm assembling a new PC and running a fresh windows 10 install. I'd like to know how to partition the ssd into 2 separate partitions during the windows install (I'm using a bootable usb drive to install Windows).

I want to know if I need to input specific settings for those partitions or if it's all automatic?

I need one partition for Windows on and another for my documents. The ssd has 960gb size.

So I'm guessing it has about 60gb over-provisionning. I could leave out a bit more, but it probably doesn't matter that much
