Windows 10 Reactivation after Mainboard and CPU Change

    Hello dear Madams and Sirs,

I would like to change the CPU and Mainboard of my PC, and I wanted to ask if I could run into any problems reactivating Windows 10.

I currently have a retail license of Windows 10 installed on my PC, which I obtained by upgrading Windows 8/8.1 to Windows 10. So in that respect, it should in principle work, but I read that you are allowed to transfer an upgraded Windows 10 license only once, and I am not sure if I already transferred my license in the past. Is there some way to check if I am still eligible for a transfer?

And related to that, after I change my mainboard, would I be able to just plug in my SSD and HDD with the Windows installation, so that I can keep my current installation?

    Thanks for your time,

    Brickon

    :)

Unable to reactivate Windows 10 after a mainboard change

A few days ago I damaged my mainboard with a BIOS update. I bought the same model again today and naturally Windows saw this as a hardware change and prompted me to reactivate Windows 10. This worked fine the last time in Summer 2018 when I upgraded my PCs
components, but not this time. It didn't let me reactivate it. In panic I then went to my Microsoft account and deleted the PC (the one with the old mainboard) from my list of devices, hoping it would fix it. But that just made it worse, since now I cannot
even go very far with the activation, since I just deleted the device that I need to reactivate it.

I also have an error code, if that helps: 0x803FA067

    upgrading mainboard and CPU

This question is probably asked before, but I cannot find it.

I want to upgrade the mainboard and CPU and wonder if I can activate the Windows 10, which I used with the old mainboard, on the new mainboard/CPU?

I should add that the the Windows 10 running on the old motherboard was a free upgrade from a retail Windows 7 Home Premium. I still have the original Win 7 DVD with the product key.

reactivating windows after changing the pc's CPU

I am having difficulty in reactivating windows after changing the pc's CPU

Prior to the change, I linked my digital licence to my MS Account

In my MSA I can see both versions of my PC listed, once with the old CPU and once with the new CPU

If I go to activation - troubleshoot- I changed hardware on this device recently, I can only select the old PC on which to activate windows

    Any help or ideas appreciated
