  1. Windows 10 rearranges and resizes open windows after I turn off my monitor

Hi I have seen this question posted earlier, but all the suggestions that were helpful to the other users don´t work for me. I have a nvidia graphics card, which is connected to 2 monitors, one is 32:10 with a 5120x1440 resolution, and the other is 16:9 with a 3840x2160 resolution. They are setup as extended screens. I usually don´t turn my computer off, but when I´m not using it I turn off the monitors. The problem is that after I turn those back on, the open windows are in different positions, and different sizes than they were before.

-I have the newest drivers for my card

not that it matters, since this was happening with every other driver version nvidia ever released (I mean i keep them updated regullary), and with all graphics cards I had installed in the computer (i had an geforce 760, and 1060, 1080, and now a 2080)

-I tried a clean boot (I tired a clean install even), its still happening (it was happening form the first time i turned off the monitors)

it´s can´t be a third party issue (unless you call nvidia a 3rd party, but where else to get the drivers then) because after the fresh install of win10, I tried it with only the drivers installed

I started to think that it was supposed to do that, till I realized that my friend who has 2 Monitors and a TV (all different resolutions) connected, and his windows stay where they were, and as far as he (we) know(s) he didn´t do anything special during the installation (nor did I)

so is there an option to lock the windows in position and size that I´m missing or is it a bug

    :)

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK

WINDOWS 10 Desktop icons rearrange when monitor turns off/on (ONE MONITOR)

I have a problem where my icons keep rearranging to the left side of the screen every time I turn my monitor off/on again. I was wondering if anybody had an idea of what to do as other answers I found were for icons rearranging when the computer turns on/off
which ISN'T the problem, or when someone had 2 monitors. First, a little information on my configurations and computer.

    • I DO NOT have auto arrange on
    • I have an Acer monitor connected through DVI. I use the power button on the monitor to turn it off.
    • I have Windows 10 Home Edition with an AMD Radeon R9 380 graphics card
    • Keep in mind that this problem happens with ONE MONITOR. I don't need solutions for if I had 2
    • I do not nor have ever had ESET, so solutions for that won't work
    • I would not like third party programs please
    • Remember, this only happens when I turn my monitor on/off
