Windows 10: Windows 10 Reboot is Stuck Rebooting @ 64%

Seems a lot of people have the 64% Reboot,Boot Loop. Hp Desktop is stuck in the 64% Loop for about 2 Days now, nothing has changed,except for turning it off and unplugging. I guess the question is since windows 10 came with it automatically do I now need to spend $100-$150 to fix it by buying new Windows 10 Flash drive?

Windows 10 Acer Aspire T Desktop Top Install Stuck at 64% & Stuck in Reboot Cycle

This has been an ongoing issue for almost 2 weeks now

I had a virus on my desktop and the antivirus software I had was not finding and removing it. I decided to reset my computer to get rid of it.

The computer got stuck on a black screen with white dots forming a circle on the bottom. Removing the USB for my mouse fixed that.

Then windows 10 install got stuck at 10%. I used the method from here:

Since then the computer has been stuck at 64% in a constant reboot cycle.

My Dad created a recovery disk on USB for me. I have disable boot security and set the boot manager to boot from removable drive first but the computer is still stuck at 64% and constantly rebooting.

Any suggestions as the computer is only 10 months old. Thanks so much.

Try turning off automatic restart on system failure and see if it is giving a blue-screen before it reboots. That might at least give you an error message or code so you can start your troubleshooting from there. Otherwise it is just a shot in the dark. It could be bad RAM, bad HDD, bad ODD, a bad cable somewhere, PSU dying, motherboard dying, a software issue and the list goes on...

I don't think he ever said it reboots during the boot process. It just randomly reboots while the computer is running.

 

Windows 10 stuck in reboot loop

Thank you for posting in Community, we apologize for the inconvenience caused and we will try to assist you in the best way we can.

As per your query, I am led to believe that you re currently stuck in a reboot loop. I would suggest that you perform power drain and check if you are able to restore back to your normal desktop. To do so follow the steps below:

• Unplug the charger and remove the battery of your laptop, if using a desktop remove the power cord.
• Press and hold the Power button for 30sec
• Plug the charger/power cord and restart system.

I would not suggest that you format your hard drive due to the reasons below:

1. If your system was installed with Windows 8.1 at the time of purchase, formatting it will lead to a lost of your product key, as the key is pre injected to the motherboard.

2. You will be unable to activate the OS and you will have to contact your systems manufacturer if you are faced with any driver related issues.
