    Windows 10 rebooting after Sleep mode


    Hello all!



    My ASUS X552LD laptop recently a week ago started rebooting after Sleep mode or Hibernation.


    This happens after Sleep mode is activated by pressing Power button, by accessing Windows Start Menu, or by closing the laptop's lid.


    I'm using Microsoft Windows 10 Home - Version 10.0.18363 - Compilation 18363.


    I've already checked the Power Settings and have made a system reset with no results.


    I've been told that I should make a BIOS re-flash, but I'm not comfortable with this, specially because I'm afraid of this process can mess up something in my laptop like the hotkeys functions...


    My BIOS is American Megatrends, version 300.




    Any help is welcomed!

    The challenge that you are having with the sleep mode on Windows 10 may be caused by misconfigured power settings on your computer. We suggest to check this thread:

    Win 10 reboots after sleep mode    . Look for MVP Mike Hall... always replied. It contains troubleshooting steps pertaining to the issue.

    Hi Bruce,

    Sorry for the inconvenience caused to you. I suggest you to try running the Power troubleshooter and check.

    Run the Power troubleshooter.


    • Type Troubleshooting in the search bar and without quotes and click on
      Troubleshooting in the results displayed on the top of the window

    • Click System and Security on left panel.

    • Click Power, new window will popup.

    • Follow the on screen instructions.

    If the issue persist, please try the suggestions provided by Mike Hall... always replied on August 10, 2015.
