Windows 10: Windows 10 recent updates freezing my PC

I have an HP notebook which I migrated from Windows 7 to Windows 10 more than a year ago. Now it appears that after a recent update, the PC partially freezes with intermittent graphic noise displaying on the screen with the mouse partially freezing. I tried to re-install a 2019 build offline, and that seems to make the PC stable again, but once I re-connect it back to the internet, the PC gets forcefully updated and the problem starts to re-occur.


Please help me with a workaround to make the notebook useful again.
