Windows 10: Windows 10 Recovery Can't view SrtTrail.txt "Access is Denied"

I have windows 10 and the lovely Level 1 tech I was working with bricked my machine by making some registry change


I have booted into Recovery mode with a USB image I downloaded from Microsoft's website.


I've tried to boot up in numerous modes with no success. Last I tried booting with logging and I would like to see those logs.

However, when I goto command prompt X:\ I can not get to c:\windows\system32\Logfiles


I get an "access is denied" error.


How can I fix this any see the log?


Am I already in as Admin in the command console? Do I need to run some sort of icacls statement to change permissions? (I don't mind undoing all permissions if it mean I can gain access to what I need again.


[Note: Please don't suggest I re-install the OS and lose all my installed apps and license keys and configuration profiles - unless Microsoft wants to pay for that. FYI... this drive was never an issue for me. The tech was supposed to work on a secondary drive on my machine which I've pulled completely since they managed to trash my C: boot disk]

srt\srttrail\.txt problem .... but

Hello guys, I have encountered the srt\srttrail\.txt problem but with a slight variant ... I can't access the startup settings ...once I follow the usual path until the part where you press restart so that the menu will appear after rebooting, my computer
boots 'normally' and starts automatically the reparation, without giving me any choice !

I did not recently instal any hardware, but I have logitech wireless mouse, I heard the problem might be about drivers with wrong signatures ..

I need your help guys, and I'm not the only one having this problem ..
