Is their a way to uninstall a app that you have installed in your Recovery PE program Kyhi?? I am speaking of Acronis, if Acronis was not on that recovery PE than I would not have to turn off my secure boot option??

Understood. What I meant is when you built the WinPE, you also included the driver for your Network Adapter. The same as when I built mine, I had to add the driver for my Network card, quite new and Windows Installation did not even include it. Other than that, the rest should work for any PC.

From the days when it was the only system image backup I ever used to today, its become way too bloated for my taste. The last version I had was the new 2016 release. Paid for THIS update too. It took over 200mb of my SSD and installed all kinds of stuff in my startup menu......I then found about about Macrium Reflect and it was free, doesn't take up any room on my HD, didn't install all kinds of crap in my startup files, and runs BETTER than Acronis. Was a no brainer for me. And like I have said before, I have been using nothing but Acronis since 2009. *Smile

Hey don't hurry on my account Kyhi I can wait sir, besides if the info is correct tomorrow should be a big day for Windows updates.....but....I'm not betting on it. Take your time, I love what you've done anyhow, GREAT Work, I just need to learn how to configure it better for my system. Which...I may never be able to do....but...fun trying. *Smile

... Kyhi, will you add Windows/System32/spp/tokens/pkeyconfig/pkeyconfig.xrm-ms.

Showkey uses it for Win10 edition checking.

    Kyhi,
Turned on secure boot, and took me about 2 mins to boot into your Recovery PE Tool Works fine as far as I can see right now.
Of course if ya change something....lol.....unless you can show me how to add that command line in for showkey, I'll just have to d/l
    your update. *sarc lol Mike...

    You lost me Mike,,
What you want to do ??
Retrieve the Embedded BIOS Key ??
Or the Product Key used to activate the Host OS ??

SuperFly, may have the instructions on his https://www.tenforums.com/software-ap...7-showkey.html page

    Retrieve Product key From Backup
since you are booted into PE > the Host OS Windows < is the backup key location you want to use..

oh after reading what SuperFly posted to you, I thought you had to add something more to your Recovery PE ?? That's all I ment.
I actually don't need any key information. Just thought you had to make a minor change in your program for Showkey. Actually the older one, showed me two keys, which surprised me, as I didn't think it would find the original key from Windows 8.1 home.
But it did...*Smile I bought a retail key for this Windows Pro I have installed now. *Smile So I'm fine....only thing I'd like to learn sometime would be how to update some drivers.....but no big deal. You did a GREAT JOB Kyhi!!!! *Thumbs

Since PE is all in memory > any changes you make (add drivers) will be removed once you shut down PE...

You can however go into device manager in PE and select the Driver you need to update, then select Browse my computer and select the Host Windows drive letter..

Device manager will search the Host for updated drivers...
If PC requires a reboot to properly install driver, all changes to PE will be lost and you can not update that driver..

What I do is export the Host Drivers into a "DRIVERS" folder on the PE USB - then point device manager to it

extract getdrivers.zip and run cmd as admin on host system then copy "Drivers" folder to USB
    Attachment 47155

You can export drivers from any number of host system(s) into the drivers folder on the USB
That way you compile a source for drivers depending on the system you are working on

If you copy the GetDrivers.cmd to the PE USB you can run the cmd from within PE and export the Off-line Windows System (Host) Drivers
