Windows 10: Windows 10 recovery

can i make a recovey disc using an external harddrive and or sd card.my computer started acting up the other day and i restored and it didnt help.now i cant get to the log in screen it just shows a blue screen saying it your pc ran into a problem blah blah.it has the critical process died code.then it says it cant automatic repair.ive restarted it same thing.ive to reset it but it wont let me.i got to let me restore again but it stopped and said it didn’t work or something.tried booting in safe mode but it sends me back to the blue screen.i used thing to download some stuff off youtube before all this happen and after i used i kept getting pop ups so i think it gave me a virus which may have caused this.also when it did start acting up it was basically i would press something and it wouldnt react until i pressed it like 20 times.very annoying.my laptop is a toshiba satellite ive had for 6 years.i did factory reset 2 years ago because it was being very slow and it work ever since then until recently.

Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

For the convenience of not having to use the installation media for startup repairs. But you should be able to use your installation media to do whatever the recovery partition does(including startup repairs). AFAIK. I could be wrong about that though.

I'm not sure if I follow you there. But if you clean install Windows 10 there will be at least 3 partitions.

• (EFI System Partition)
• (Primary Partition)
• (Recovery/OEM Partition)

If you install from an OEM installation media there might(should?) be 4 partitions. Since there might(should?) be a Recovery partition and an OEM partition.
