Windows 10: Windows 10 reinstall, lan ok, but no internet.

I recently had to reinstall windows 10 on my desktop computer. I have loaded all the drivers. My lan network adapter works, and can discover all the other devices on my home network, including the modem/router. However, regardless of whether I connect via lan or wifi, I get no internet connection.I have uninstalled and reinstalled the network adapter multiple times, changed between multiple different iterations of the driver, and messed endlessly with the ipv4 settings, to no avail.I had my ISP diagnose the router/modem, it is fine, which is no surprise, as I have other lan devices running

Only Chrome can connect to the Internet.

To resolve the particular error messages that you're having, we suggest you perform the steps below to disable proxy server:

• Click the Tools button in Internet Explorer, then click Internet Options.
• Go to the Connections tab, then click LAN settings.
• Uncheck the box which says Use a Proxy Server for your LAN, then click
  OK.

Reinstallation of Internet explorer in Windows 10

Hi Rick,

I would like to inform that the Internet Explorer might be disabled from Windows Features. I suggest you to enable Internet Explorer by following the steps provided below and check if it helps.

• Press Windows key + X and select Control Panel.
• Click on Programs and Features.
• In the left pane, click on Turn Windows features on or off.
• From the list locate and check the box for Internet Explorer 11.
• Click on OK.
• Restart the system and check.

• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
