Windows 10: Windows 10 Release 1909 causes ethernet CODE 10 device failure on Intel NUC's ethernet...

We updated two Intel NUC's here in our office which use the 1219-V onboard ethernet chipsets. After updating to the latest Windows 10 build 1909 10.0.18363.657 both have failed with a "This device cannot start. CODE 10" error on each 1219-V ethernet device in the Device Manager.


We have uninstalled both Intel network software and ethernet devices and also verified both ethernet ports are active in each NUC's BIOS settings. We also ran an SFC check on Windows 10 to be sure there were no corrupted files in the OS distribution. After allowing Windows 10 to redetect both ethernet devices they still fail to initialise with a CODE 10 error.

At this time we have had to fallback to using the onboard WiFi which thankfully has not been broken by the 1909 update. We have searched online and it appears this problem has been plaguing many users after the 1903 and 1909 Windows 10 updates.


We would appreciate Microsoft looking at this issue urgently as we have had to stop the rollout of the latest 1909 updates across the rest of our Intel NUC fleet in our office which still work fine on ethernet using an earlier build of Windows 10.

Windows 10 after upgade to 1709 if keyboard not plugged then ethernet device is not detected.

When I start my windows 10 (1709 build) without plugging keyboard and mouse, it does not detect Ethernet card.

Mother board is of Intel and Ethernet is on board (integrated).

I have also installed latest Ethernet driver by auto updated drivers from internet.

Steps:

Shutdown pc

Remove keyboard and mouse

Keep lan cable plugged

Start pc

Ethernet device is not detected. It shows in list in Device manager screen. but with Yellow triangle.

Then I need to plug keyboard and just do a hardware scan then Ethernet is detected and all ok after that.

When I start with keyboard and mouse plugged in then it detects Ethernet card and available on LAN.

Am I missing something?

 

Ethernet controllers problems

thats what i have been doing is going to the device mgr and clicking the the let me choose. but it always says "windows can not install your ethernet controller. And there the Ethernet Controller isnt in the list..im going to be working on this all night. I just got back from work.
