Windows 10: Windows 10 - Repairing Disk Errors

I know a lot of people have been having trouble with the computers all of a sudden freezing and then going into this ridiculously long repairing disk error nonsense which takes a heck more than an hour to do anything. I need to get my stuff off my computer. Is there any way I can bypass this message to get to my c drive? No I dont have a recovery CD. I don't have a usb. esc+power does not work. windows+power does not work. alt F10+power does not work. alt f12+power does not work. taking out the battery and unplugging it and then turning it on does not work. holding down the power button only turns it off. Right now it is running. the circle is turning and at the bottom of my screen it says Repairing disk errors. This might take over an hour. It has been 5 hours. I have a Toshiba satellite laptop bought in 2015 with windows 10 64 bit. I have to get this to work because I am looking for work at home jobs. Thanks for non nonsensical and realistic help.

Windows 10 Repairing Disk Errors

Hi Sergeant,

There may be a bad sector that has occurred as a result of some changes that were made to the hard drive that’s why repairing disk errors have appeared. Before proceeding to reinstall Windows 10, we suggest that you perform a system restore. This will go
back in time where your computer is working accordingly.

• Insert the media creation tool that you’ve created.
• Set Windows to boot from a drive. You can change the boot priority in BIOS.
  Note: If you need assistance on this step associated with the BIOS setup, you may reach out to the manufacturer of your device for assistance.
• Once the Install Windows screen has appeared, select
  Repair your computer.
• Select Troubleshoot > Advanced option >
  System Restore.

If the issue still persists, we suggest that you run a surface test on the hard drive using ckhdsk command-line.
Chkdsk is a Windows utility that can check the integrity of the hard disk and can fix multiple file system errors. Here are the steps that you can follow:

• Start the system to the installation media for the installed version of Windows.
• On the Install Windows screen, select Next > Repair your computer.
• Select Next > Command Prompt on the
  System Recovery Options.
• Type the command below and press Enter:
  
  chkdsk C: /f /r
  
  Note: This process may take some time to be completed.

Also, a digital license will be allowed if your computer has a genuine Windows 10 from the Microsoft Store and successfully activated Windows 10, bought a Windows 10 Pro upgrade from the Microsoft Store and successfully activated Windows
10 and upgraded to Windows 10 for free from an eligible device running a genuine copy of Windows 7 or Window 8.1. Please see this

windows 10 stuck on repairing disk errors for hours

We suggest you to repair your system using Windows 10 installation USB media and check if it corrects the problem.

Follow these steps:

• Disconnect all non-essential devices that might attached to your computer, Windows setup might be trying to detect them.
• If you connected to a network, disconnect this also.
• Download the Windows 10 ISO on a working computer and perform a startup repair:
• Click here to download the official ISO media for Windows 10.
  

After creating the USB installation media for Windows 10, follow the steps below:

      Insert the installation USB drive and boot Windows 10 from it.
      
    • 
      In the ‘Windows setup’ page select the ‘language to install’, ‘Time and currency format’ and the ‘keyboard or input method’ and click on ‘next’.

      Click on ‘Repair your computer’ and select ‘Troubleshoot’.
