Windows 10: Windows 10 reset problem

My laptop is HP Pavilion with i5-7200u, 12 GB RAM, 1 TB HDD (SATA) + IntelHD/9400MX. This HP has OEM Windows 10 SL preinstalled.

My problem is: when I want to 'reset' Windows, it complains it could not find recovery environment. Exact error message attached:

What I want: exactly, without using thumbdrive or external tools, how do I recreate the necessary environment so I can use 'reset this PC' feature normally?

I have tried Google, of course, but they're all either requiring Thumbdrive to make recovery partition in that thumbdrive or using external tools which I don't want.

Windows 10 login problem

Hi. I installed windows 10 on my friends computer, and his computer has a problem with overheating, so when I wanted to type his account details, the computer shut down. Then when I reopened it, is displays "Other User" and under are two columns, where
it says to type the email and the password. I tried three different accounts and it says that the password is incorrect. Please, help!

 

Windows 10 Problem

After I updated Windows 10 today as I was instructed, I can no longer get on the internet. My wifi no longer shows up to click on it. It was working fine until I allowed the install. I have tried restarting the HP Spectre x 369 laptop and the router,
but this has not helped. (I am using a borrowed Apple computer to search for a solution.) I need help to get back online. Can anyone help or tell me who I might contact for help?

 

Your system apparently claims to be UEFI (EFI partition).

But there's no Recovery partition. Did you delete that?

This is what a UEFI boot configuration typically looks like: (I've used Minitool Partition Wizard which gives more info- Disk Management does not show the 16Mb partition by design).

 

I have double checked, but I don't seem to recall deleting any partition. I did shrink drive C: and made drive D:, but it's all with Windows' partition tools - I shouldn't be able to delete the recovery, right?

Maybe I should download that tool you used to triple check everything.

 

You can delete that partition, yes. You then lose the advanced recovery options and the rather feeble automatic repair. And apparently the ability to reset...

- personally, I don't believe that's achievable. Someone else may well know better.

 

Thanks. I'll just use my Win 10 thumbdrive and reformat everything. HP bloats kind of annoying.
