Windows 10: Windows 10 Reset this PC fails at 83 ~ 84%

Hi all,My dad's laptop has been having issues recently. When turning on the laptop, the sign in screen appears correctly. However, after entering his credentials, a black screen appears and he can only see his cursor. Resetting the PC into safe mode only allows him to see the options menu after pressing CTRL + ALT + DEL. Additionally, resetting the PC while keeping his files keeps failing at around 83 ~ 84%. He claims that this happened suddenly so I'm not sure what the problem is. Would anyone happen to know why this issue is occurring?Thanks in advance.

I think there are three steps that remain; the WU troubleshooter, reset WU components, and manual WU reset.

• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK
