Windows 10: Windows 10 reset

I have a second PC that worked fine until the latest auto upgrade to Windows 10. After that the internet stopped working. I tried to re-install the drivers, but that didn't work. Then I tried to roll-back to the previous version of Windows 10. And now, I am locked out and I still don't have the internet available on it.


Question - I understand my PC license was registered with Microsoft when I bought it and configured it. So, is there a way to get a mini-boot disk with internet enabled that I can then ask for a re-load of Windows 10? Say, a boot disk on my usb memory stick that I can copy from my working PC and then boot my non-working PC and ask for a Windows reset / reinstall?

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK
