Windows 10: Windows 10 resizes and re-positions open windows after coming out of sleep mode

I have a new desktop PC with a new BenQ Display and everything seems to function perfectly except when the PC comes out of Sleep Mode, all of the windows which were open have been resized (down) and stacked on top of each other in the top left corner of the display.


One user with the same problem claimed that the problem resulted from Windows 10 creating a dummy monitor registry with the wrong values and suggested editing the registry. That appears to be out of my league of knowledge and safety.


Does anyone have any idea how this problem can be otherwise corrected?

Windows resizing, re-positioning after sleep mode, Win 10

I am experiencing problem with opened windows resizing and re-positioning to the Left, Top corner after sleep mode (on Win 10).

Please advise how to troubleshoot and resolve this issue.

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

Open windows move and resize after sleep

I have a six month of Dell Vostro which came installed with Windows 10 Pro. Every time my computer sleeps when it wakes all open windows have shifted position and/or resized.
