    Windows 10 Resolution Problem

I accidentally unplugged my monitor from the wall, after plugging it back in everything on my screen is bigger than it should be. I tried changing resolution but the max resolution still makes everything a lot bigger than it was before the accidental unplugging. The max resolution it will let me put is 1280 x 720, I have a 24" wide screen monitor, not sure why it wont give me a bigger resolution to set it to.

    :)

it says to type the email and the password. I tried three different accounts and it says that the password is incorrect. Please, help!

    Windows 10 Resolution Problem

Most LCD Flat Panel monitors have a Menu button and other buttons, usually by the power switch, for making changes on the monitor itself, maybe even an Auto button which should reset the monitor to its Native resolution. After that the Video Adapter/Card has resolutions changes provided by the drivers for it and maybe Windows.

I have tried the reset buttons on the monitor itself but it didn't fix it. *Sad

  6. Try installing the monitor driver from the OEM

Holding Ctrl. button and scrolling the wheel makes everything larger or smaller.

    Windows 10 Resolution Problem

This might have something to do with the problem. Apparently my monitor was only supported up to windows 8, there's no drivers for windows 10. Could the 64 bit windows 8 driver work on windows 10? Still not understanding why after the unplugging it took my monitor out of its native resolution in the first place.

This works for making desktop icons smaller and text on websites smaller but I really wish I could just figure out how to get my monitor back to its native resolution instead of picking one of the 3 resolutions windows gives me to pick from.

It is weird even in a game I play where I always used 1920 x 1080 res, the game is even limiting me to 1280 x 720. Never had a problem with this before the monitor was unplugged.

Could it be that scaling is above 100% ?

I think you might be on to something. Under system display settings Change size of text, apps, and other items
the bar is all the way up, but it is greyed out so I can't bring the size down.

My monitor had the same issue - the resolution was not available on Windows until I installed the OEM drive.
The Win8 driver should work fine - it's really not a driver per se, more inf and config than anything else.
