  1. Windows 10 resolution problem.

Just installed WIndows 10, changed the resolution to 1920 x 1080 and some off the items on the screen appear half, some items are gone. Everything is so small. Currently on a TV and I didn't have this problem on Windows 8.1

    :)

Hi. I installed windows 10 on my friends computer, and his computer has a problem with overheating, so when I wanted to type his account details, the computer shut down. Then when I reopened it, is displays "Other User" and under are two columns, where
it says to type the email and the password. I tried three different accounts and it says that the password is incorrect. Please, help!

    Windows 10 resolution problem.

I'm having the same issue the resolution is completely a mess, i managed to downscale the monitor so I can see the whole screen but it looks like I'm looking at a TV from 1980, the color and pixel density is wayyyyyy off 1080p. I'm also using a generic TV as a monitor. If it helps anyone I'm running a Radeon R9 280 and have an AMD CPU as well. I've tried updating the drivers via the auto detect tool but to seemingly no avail.

My friend had this issue with his PC after upgrading to Windows 10 and we figured out a solution. This is for an Nvidia graphics card but the process should be similar on any graphics card. In the control panel for your graphics card, not the windows graphics control but the control panel app made by whoever your graphics manufacturer is, find a setting for overscan or manual positioning. From there you will be able to manually edit the size and position of your screen on your TV.

If you have intel graphics you should already have the intel graphics control panel installed, just search for it in Windows search or check your taskbar because usually it is running in the background. Also, if you right click on the desktop there should be a button that says graphics properties which will bring you to the intel control panel.

For Nvidia open the Nvidia control panel and its under the resolution tab.

I am not sure for AMD but its probably a similar process.

  9. I have an Intel and this did not work for me. I have an "underscan" but no overscan. My display is cut off at the bottom and is in the lower left corner. black border top and right. Auto Adjust on the monitor does not fix the problem and nothing I do in the graphics control panel fixes the problem.
