    Windows 10 Restarts Instead of Sleeps


    Hi All,


    I recently built a new PC. I'm running a X570 Aorus Master latest bios with a Ryzen 5800X. I noticed after a clean install of Windows 10 Education the Sleep feature no longer works - instead my computer immediately reboots.


    A few things I've tried:


    -Disabling Fast Boot in the BIOS

    -Ensuring that the Sleep button is set to Sleep

    -Disabling Allow hybrid sleep in the Power Plan Settings

    -Changing Multimedia Settings > When Sharing Media to Allow the computer to sleep

    -Disabling XMP in the BIOS

    -Ran the Power Troubleshooter no issues found


    I've seen a lot of posts about this, but mostly from several versions of Windows 10 ago. Any guidance here would be much appreciated.

    I suggest you to run the Power troubleshooter and check if it helps.

    Follow these steps to run Power troubleshooter:

    • Type troubleshooting in the search bar.
    • Select Troubleshooting.
    • Select View all on the top left corner.
    • Click on Power.
    • Follow the on-screen instructions to run the troubleshooter.
    • Check if issue persists.

    Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

    Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK
