Windows 10: Windows 10 S mode will not install the the new current Microsoft build 2004

Discus and support Windows 10 S mode will not install the the new current Microsoft build 2004 in Windows 10 Installation and Upgrade to solve the problem; I had to a factory restore on my Dell laptop.     Windows 10 S mode will not install the the new current Microsoft build 2004


    I had to a factory restore on my Dell laptop. I previously had 20H2 build on the laptop. This is the build after 2004 20H1 build. I update my Dell BIOS recently. It hangs up at 35 percent install. It gives me a 1900209 update error code. Microsoft says to "wait and do nothing." It will roll out a Windows update that has my system configuration settings.


    I took my laptop out S mode a few days ago and got way too many Green Screens of Death. That is why I did a complete factory reset.

    Installing Windows 10 on New PC?

    I'm going to be building a new PC on Christmas and want to install Windows 10 on it. I have Windows 10 on my current PC, which I installed upgrading from 8.1 with the files on a USB. How do I go about installing a clean copy of Windows 10 on this new PC? I think I recall something about installing it once makes Microsoft recognize your hardware, but since this will be a PC I'm not sure what steps I need to take. Do I need to go 8.1 -> 10 or is there a method of going directly to 10?
