Windows 10 S using an unactivated copy?

Hey. So, my family’s always been a macbook kind of family (kinda ridiculous if you ask me!) but my sister has been recently interested in getting a windows 10 S laptop. The main problem? She can’t afford a license for an activated copy of windows 10 to remove the restrictions it has. Her budget isn’t that great. So, I have one, simple question.

Can you access the boot menu in windows 10 S and install a fresh copy of windows? It’s probably a dumb question, but I’ve searched and searched, yet I can’t find anything about it being restricted as well. It’d be a HUGE help if anyone could answer this.

    Cheers, and thanks.

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK

  3. Using unactivated windows copy

Hello, I built a pc in a shop and the vendor told me he applied windows 10 to my hardware, then months after that windows told me that the license expired or something like that, and now my windows is unactivated. My question is, is it illegal to use unactivated
windows till I can afford to buy a new license?
