Windows 10: windows 10 Scaling and Apps/programs @4K

So i recently bought a lg 55C7T OLED running the desktop in 4K via DVI to HDMI and im noticing text for things like Steam and a whole bunch of apps is sort of blury even with Clear type enabled wondering if theres a proper way of getting scaling to Work and what settings i should look at for game mode

current card is a 1080

HDR appears to be broken currently for win 10 NV cards ? cant enable it over dvi anyway

4k Resolution scaling but then watching a 4k video

Hi,

I am building a PC with windows 10. I have yet to buy my monitor.

I'm considering buying a 4k/UHD monitor but given the issues you can have with scaling (i.e. when using program's that aren't set up to cope with the scaling and therefore show up blurred) I am wondering if it is worth it at this point in the 4k/windows
infancy? Its worth pointing out that I am thinking of buying a monitor no bigger than 24" so not using scaling won't be very good as the task bar will be tiny.

Also, (my main question) when you use the scaling its effectively at Full HD resolution, correct me if I'm wrong, so what happens when scaling is on and I want to watch a 4k video. Will it be shown in 1080p or 4k? How does it work? What is the scaling actually
doing.

windows media player problem in 4k display

Yes you are absolutely right that Microsoft windows does not have proper scaling in their windows 10

My friends also have 4k display monitor and they are also complaining about the scaling issues on 4k display in windows.

However, i have a searched online and I have found the solution on the one of the website : Adobe App Scaling on High DPI Displays (FIX) | Dan Antonielli

He explained that how to create manifest file and configuration.

But we have to put that manifest file to each and every software that we are facing problem!

The manifest actually tells the Software to run at smaller resolution instead 4k.

But still , this is not the proper solution. It makes software looks blurry on 4K display.
