Windows 10: Windows 10 Scan app not creating PDF's correctly.

Scan using a [Brother] scanner using default settings for PDF, B&W. No Preview, just Scan.Locate and open newly created file using latest version of Adobe Acrobat READER DC.Close Reader. It will ask you to save the file. Why?! No changes.Unless you save the file over itself or to another filename, this prompt repeats.If you save the new file, it will not ask you to save on subsequent opens.I did a WinDiff on the file. There is a change in the header [and the footer] by Reader DC. File went from 198Kb to 202Kb, so significant. Here's the screenshots.Can u pls fix this, so a newly

scan doc and create pdf

just did an update (KB4576478, KB4571756) on my computer.

i was able to use HP Smart to scan a doc and create a pdf. this no longer works, will not let me scan with HP Smart.

i installed MS scan app, but will not let me create pdf - only jpeg, tiff, PNG and bitmap.

how do i scan and save as pdf?

• doPDF to create PDFs from any program that is capable of printing

• Foxit Reader to view PDFs and to type in them

 

Use Windows 10's Fax and Scan print to pdf feature without annoying 90 degree rotation?

When using Windows 10's native "Fax and Scan" app to create a PDF by using "print to pdf" feature, PDF documents are always rotated 90 degrees. While there are many ways to re-rotate the document, they all require an extra application and a laborious extra step. Is there any way to use the native Fax and Scan application to create a properly aligned PDF in one shot?
