  1. Windows 10 Scan & Repair Turned Music Files into "Other" on iPod Nano

Recently, I connected my iPod Nano 4th Gen to my Windows 10 laptop. I got a message saying there were some errors on my device and asking to scan and repair the files. Naively, I clicked yes.

This seemingly wiped all 2,000+ audio and video files off my iPod. However, I later realized that those files are still on the iPod.

When I open iTunes, the files are displayed as "Other" instead of as audio and video files as they were before and iTunes can't read the files. Also, when I eject the iPod from my laptop, no audio or video files are shown on the device.

However, the music and video files play just fine with the Groove Music app. Despite that, I can't seem to find the location of the files on the iPod through "Computer" when it's plugged into my laptop.

Since Windows screwed up the files, surely there's some way to use Windows to make the files readable as audio and video files again, correct?

    :)

Windows 10 Scan & Repair Turned Music Files into "Other" on iPod Nano

Windows 10 and my ipod nano

As with a lot of other questions I see here, I purchased an ipod nano this afternoon and expected to spend an enjoyable evening adding my music from my Windows 10 pc onto the ipod.

It can not be done. I have spent a considerable amount of time with Apple tech support as well as Verizon tech. I am currently on the hold yet AGAIN waiting for an Apple tech support person whom, I was able to contact but the guy had so much trouble setting
up the remote session that eventually we simply got disconnected.

So here I am again at 9pm, trying to get Windows 10 to communicate with my new ipod. The Verizon tech person, who spent a considerable amount of time on this issue, indicated that Windows 10 was somehow, not reading the ipod. Altho, that's a mystery to
both of us b/c some of the music did transfer over to the ipod itself. No music is able to transfer now.

This is ridiculous. Windows needs to have a support team available 24/7 for these issues. I didn't have these problems with Windows 7.

Btw, I also tried every suggestion made on this thread. it unconscionable that this is an ongoing issue with no resolution and no tech support.
