Windows 10: Windows 10 screensaver only when locked

Windows 10 screensaver only when locked.I'd like to have a lock button on my PC, that when hit will lock the PC, and turn the screens blank, like a screensaver.However, I don't want to set up a normal screensaver, as I don't want it coming on while the PC is unlocked.This is due to an issue with windows not liking my screens, and if just turn them off, windows loses my primary screen until I reboot. I'm hoping just a blank screen saver while locked will solve that issue.

I would suggest you to try the following steps and check if that helps.

• Go to the folder C:\Windows\System32 and sort by file type.
• Look for the screensaver file type (.scr).
• Find the file scrnsave.scr(you can choose any of the screensavers).
• Right click and select send to>desktop (create shortcut). The shortcut on my attachment, but when i click on it my screen goes off and on and nothing else.

From the description provided, I understand that the Screensaver feature does not work in Lock screen.

Please be informed that the Lock screen feature in Windows 10 has a separate settings to display the pictures/ slideshow.

To do so, follow the below steps.

• Open Settings, click/tap on the Personalization icon.
• Click/tap on Lock screen on the left side. Enable the slideshow
  option, click or tap the Background drop-down menu and then choose
  Slideshow.
