Windows 10: Windows 10 screenshot folder bug

1. Hello few months ago i wanted to rename my screenshots because around 100 of them has weird names like: r1, r2 etc.After renaming many of them disappeared but not all, 500 screenshots remained all of them were old, by old i mean few months. I was searching how to recover them but i didn't find the answer.2. Now i have problem that when im in screenshot folder and im swiping between screnshoots its randomly chaning to old screenshot, example: im on screenshot 1000 -> 999 -> 998 -> 997 -> 996 -> 746 -> 995. Numbers are not real this is just a example. It's all started

• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

Issues with taking screenshots of the screen and finding Screenshot folder on Windows 10.

The issue could occur if screenshot is not taken correctly.



I suggest you to follow the below steps and check if you are able to find Screenshot folder with pictures.

1. Press Windows Key + PrtScn keys .

2. Then open File Explorer and click on Pictures
on the left side of the File Explorer.

3. Check if Screenshot folder is created or not.

Windows folder in userprofile folder

I suggest posting a screenshot of the C:\Users\%UserName% folder so the icon of the Windows thing can be seen [along with the icons of the other items in that folder].

And right-click on the Windows thing and select Properties then post a screenshot of each tab.

I say 'screenshot', but I think the Snipping tool is the appropriate tool for this particular job.
