Windows 10: Windows 10 Search for Wireless display so many displaysSmart TVs which are not in my home...

Hi,

I live in a multi-dwelling Unitapartment complex. on my windows 10 2-in-1, when I try to connect to wireless display, the search for wireless display, along with my TV, this display search lists so many TVs and roku displays which are not in my home Network.

I verified, those TVs are behind their respective secured home wifi networks.


My question here is, how this search pulls so many devices which are not in my network and how can I block all of them and get connected to only my network displays.

Miracast is a wireless technology that you can use to project your computer screen to TV's, projectors, and streaming media players. If you're having issues with connecting your computer to a new TV, you may try these troubleshooting steps:

Method 1:
Install the latest drivers for your computer and the latest firmware for your wireless display or Miracast adapter. To update firmware on your wireless display or adapter, go to the Support section of the manufacturer's website, search on your specific
device, and follow their instructions to download and install that firmware.

Method 2: Try removing and adding the wireless display or adapter. Here's how:

• Go to Settings > Devices.
• Choose Connected Devices.
• Click the wireless display, and then click Remove Device >

• Go to Devices > Project, and then click
  Add a wireless display.
• Choose the wireless display in the list of devices found, and follow the instructions.

Thanks for the answer, but my issue is already beyond this. I have Windows 10 and it supports Miracast, and i can connect to wireless devices and already have a list of Connected Devices - the problem is, my Sharp AQUOS smart tv is listed as Other Device,
and not as Wireless Display. So when i try to Project, i can't because there is no wireless display found, but my Sharp smart TV is already connected as Other Device.

The question is - why is my smart TV recognized as Other Device and not as Wireless Display? How to change my TV from Other Device to Wireless Display so i can project to it?

*my Sharp AQUOS smart TV can accept Chromecast seamlessly, from Google cast-supported apps or from the Chrome browser. but why Miracast can't?
