Windows 10: Windows 10 security update KB5006670 breaks network printer connection

Our office computers all updated with security patch KB5006670 yesterday and immediately, everyone lost their network printer. The computers can no longer find it. I contacted my IT guy not in house and he said he was busy all morning uninstalling the update from all his clients. He instructed me on how to uninstall it. After uninstalling everything worked. This morning, windows re-updates so we uninstalled again and then suspended updates. How do I know when Microsoft has fixed this bug so we can resume updates?

Printer visible on network but can't connect

Well I had done all of the suggested steps but in wrong order. I updated router firmware, but still couldn't see printer. When I then reinstalled the new driver I had downloaded, it located the printer and all is now running fine. How complex this can get!

1. Open Admin command and type: ipconfig
   
   
   
2. Win+X->Control Panel->Netwok and Sharing Center
   Follow the screen shot. This should disable internet access from this PC but allows access to local device(s)
   NOTE: Use the IP & Subnet Mask from step 1. Leave Default gateway & DNS Server blank

Have you tried the suggestions on my initial post, in response to the original poster? If you haven't performed any troubleshooting yet, here are a couple of things you can try:

• Power off, and then power on your printer to restart it. Wait for a while for it to be fully ready.
• Check your printer connection. Check your printer and make sure that it’s connected to your PC network.
