  1. Windows 10 sees wrong GPU.

My laptop Acer Aspire 7551G-7606 uses an "AMD Radeon HD 6470M" graphics card, but device manager shows that the "AMD Radeon HD 7400M Series" is installed. Other programs, such as GPU Z, also show that 7400M is installed. I've tried to install drivers for 7400M, but as expected, it didn't work quite well. The screen resolution and performance dropped dramatically. After that, I looked up this problem to see if anyone had to deal with something different. Most people say that you just need to install the right driver, and the problem will be fixed. I've installed the right driver, resolution, and performance jumped back up to normal, but all of the programs show the wrong GPU installed. I tried to uninstall the GPU in device manager and deleted all of the drivers. After that, I've restarted the computer and installed the right driver. Still no change in device manager. Is there any other way I can try to fix it?

P.S.: I've reinstalled Windows once form 10 Pro to 10 Home, and both versions are saying that I use a 7400M graphics card. Drivers for 6470M were downloaded from the official AMD website, and I couldn't find the 7400M drivers in there, so I used the auto-update tool in the Windows device manager.

    :)

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK

Major BUG: GPU-Z causes Windows 10 PC to hard lock

I am a proud beta tester of GPU-Z! Also, I have suggested many features/new functions over the years, many of which were implemented by GPU-Z author. *Smile Windows 10 sees wrong GPU. :)
So, I like GPU-Z and do not want to use anything else for this.

Could be not GPU-Z, in fact. Maybe a combination of those latest AMD Radeon drivers+my Windows 10 being Insider Preview.
MY Windows 10 OS is the Insider Preview kind, maybe I should have mentioned that.

RE Core Temp, I have translated it into Bulgarian, and also suggested some new features, implemented by author (for Core Temp, just a few - less than those I suggested for GPU-Z). *Smile Windows 10 sees wrong GPU. :)
So, likewise I like it and do not want to stop using it. *Wink Windows 10 sees wrong GPU. ;)
