Windows 10: Windows 10 setting was missing since Sept 2019 and running on the configuration last intiated.

Community, my default service provider account is Google, for basic reasons I always used google access before Windows 10 edge was thing new thing. I kept all my pre existing Gmail accounts and other unimportant accounts listed for convenience reasons.


I had issues with Microsoft in the past on simple Owner of Computer and password configurations and so i did not want Microsoft to completely rule my computer as they do today and control the programmes initiated by purchasing Windows 10. My concern now is, I have not configured Windows 10 settings since Sept 2019 nor have I received notification of updates from Windows etc... the settings programme is missing, lost, or maybe deleted, i'm reasonably sure by recent re activating Windows 10 prior was caused from my hands or by fault of corruption


My windows settings have stayed the same configuration since sept 2019 and just today I found considerable Windows 10 data noted down on Windows note Pad in a script form. My IT inexperience & knowledge is vague, but I can read and multitask technically speaking and it looks to me like its the missing Windows 10 settings data, therefore I can now understand why Permissions and users are false and why the Task Manager is taking up space by running surrogate programs and file Hosts mimicking lost data.


My question to the community can you advise me or help me reinitiate settings back on my PC computer Laptop, considering I do have an active Windows key and Microsoft accounts, or can the community advise me on how to inspect data content found on Word Pad document and rescript and not create a third reactivation of Windows 10. Only supported on Win10. Sorry, 8.1 users, only 4 years old, gotta go.

Last year at Ignite, we announced Office 2019 – the next perpetual version of Office that includes apps (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, and Skype for Business) and servers (including Exchange, SharePoint, and Skype for Business). Today we’re pleased to share the following updates:

• Office 2019 will ship in H2 of 2018. Previews of the new apps and servers will start shipping in the second quarter of 2018.
• Office 2019 apps will be supported on:
  • Any supported Windows 10 SAC release
  • Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC 2018
  • The next LTSC release of Windows Server
• The Office 2019 client apps will be released with Click-to-Run installation technology only. We will not provide MSI as a deployment methodology for Office 2019 clients. We will continue to provide MSI for Office Server products.

 

Microsoft Office 2019 Will Run on Windows 10, and Only Windows 10

Office 2016 is supported on all current O/S's until 2025. So, 7 years is plenty of time to phase out all of their previous O/S's. I doubt there would ever be much need to run Office 2019 on a non-Windows 10 computer.

How is this news or surprising to anyone?

Especially when there are viable and arguably better open-source alternatives out there.. For those of us who don't use Microsoft Office, this isn't a problem.
