Windows 10 Settings - Can't change desktop resolution

    Hi,
about a week ago, i found out im not able to change the desktop resolution on my Windows 10.

By going into Settings->System->Display->Display resolution and choosing one, the only thing it does is changing the scale and size of text and all other items. I know this for sure, because:
    1) My monitor is able to show the current resolution, and it still shows the previous one
    2) "Advanced display settings" in windows 10 shows the previous one in "Desktop resolution" and "Active signal resolution"

In example, my current resolution is 3840x2160. If i select 1920x1080, it happens what i wrote up here.

Of course i updated my windows 10 and reinstalled my video card drivers, however nothing changed.

Does anyone know what is happening? How may i solve this issue? Any ideas?
    Thank you vey much
    Elveon

Change the Resolution setting on the moniter

Hello, to change your screen resolution, please follow these steps:

    1) Open Start, select Settings then select System and then select Display. Alternatively, you can right click the background on your desktop, and select Display Settings.

    2) Under Scale and layout, check the setting under Change the size of text, apps, and other items. We suggest you use the percentage marked "(Recommended)."

    3) If that doesn't solve your problem, under Resolution, select a new value. We suggest you stick with the resolution marked "(Recommended)."
