Windows 10: Windows 10 Settings Not Working, Signed out of multiple accounts

A few days ago my settings in windows 10 stopped working. It opens and lets me select a section but the section just hangs and loads forever. on top of that my chrome account is signed out, and i'm forced resign in whenever i restart it. My Rockstar account has said my validation ticket is no longer working, so i cant log in with them either. My Xbox Games Pass won't let me log in. Also I'm getting errors running when I try to run some games that prevent them from being played. I can log in to steam and use most of the games but not all.


All of this started with settings not working then everything else i noticed the next day i believe.


I've google this and tried these fixed to avail:

• I have run an sfc scan. It fixed something but the issues i have still persist.
• i created a new admin account on windows settings works there and updated. no change to my primary account
• I've run multiple virus scans. nothing found.
• I tried disabling my antivirus. nothing.

Please let me know if you have any other methods for fixing this other than reinstalling windows. I saving that as a last resort, and i don't even know if that will fix it.

Windows 10 Tweaks

As you may already know, Windows 10 (as well as Windows 8) allow you to log in with a valid Microsoft account, instead of creating a local account that only works on your machine. However, you may prefer to keep a local account for privacy reasons. If you do, though, some Windows 10 features—like Cortana—may not work. Despite the default behavior, the Windows 10 Store is not one of them. You can still log in to your Microsoft account for just the Store without switching to a full Microsoft account. The process, however, is not terribly obvious. To do so, follow these steps:

• Launch the Store from your Start menu.
• Click the user icon next to the search box.
• Click “Sign-in” from the menu that appears.
• Choose “Microsoft account” and log in like normal.
• When the “Make it yours” box appears do not enter your password. Instead, click “Sign in to just this app instead.”

Sign in User Account Automatically at Windows 10 Startup  


Hello sciencegal,

You can have Windows automatically sign in to a local account or Microsoft account. It doesn't matter.

Is you account listed more than once in netplwiz? Double check to make sure that you have selected the correct account in step 3 Option 1.

The password is case sensitive, so be sure to enter it exactly for it to work properly.

 

Microsoft account set as a work account and a Microsoft Account

As per the description, I suggest that you sign out of one of the accounts and sign into the account again. This will help us to know if the account used in either of the account is not the same.

To sign-out of the Microsoft Account follow the steps below

• Sign in to your Microsoft account on Windows 10.
• Click Start and then PC settings.
• Click Users and accounts and under Your Profile click Disconnect on the right of the screen.
• Enter your Microsoft account's password, and click on Next.
• Type in a Username, Password, and Password Hint that you want set for your Local account and click
  Next. Click on Sign out and Finish button.
