Windows 10: Windows 10 settings - weird system selection/hover glitch

Ok so I have the latest version of Windows 10 on my laptop, I've been having the issue the past 2 days where when I open settings or the Windows start tab SOMETIMES it will have this glitch where it will auto-hover over one option usually the topmost. It doesn't select it, as in when it happens in the start tab it doesn't automatically open the topmost program, but it hovers over it with that white border like when you use your keyboard to cycle through options like up/down arrow to cycle through all the options vertically and left/right arrows to cycle through columns, hopefully that descr

Reminds me of some hover events I did in a Bell 206, down at Bighorn Airways . . . .





Could you trouble shoot at all by running perfmon /report when your glitches occur ?





I disabled a USB Input Device on purpose, and it definitely shows up as a problem. . .

WIndows 10 Hover select delay

Hi thanks for this. the option is listed here in the old stye control panel but it is not listed in the same place in the modern style settings windows.

Now for the next part of my question, can the delay be changed for the switch between windows? I like hover select and want to keep it but the setting in control panel only lets me turn it on or off.

Is there something in the registry that needs changed? Or is there a simpler solution?
