Windows 10: Windows 10 Shared Folder Not Showing

I worked around this with a hyperlink on another computer using Windows 10 that I have now deactivated, now have a new computer and am having the same issue. I have used troubleshooters and explored old posts and tried most even going into run - Function Discovery Resource Publication.


From my two year old primary computer I can see other computers on my network. All have Windows 10. I though cannot see my primary computer from them. On my other computers I can though make a desktop hyperlink of "\\computer name\folder" to the shared folder and access this primary in that way.


What am I missing? Replies and results from your troubleshooting advice will be slow due to my schedule over the next four days. Thanks in advance.

Windows 10 shared folders not working

I suggest you to run the shared folders troubleshooter and check if it helps.

Refer these steps:

• Press Windows key +X, select Control panel.
• Change the view by option on the top right to Large icons.
• Click on troubleshooting and click on the view all option on the left panel.
• Run the Shared Folders troubleshooter.
