Windows 10: Windows 10 Shared PC mode. Is there a way I can change the default settings on the Guest...

We have a PC that's set up as a shared PC, and the Guest accounts are set to delete immediately after signing out.Since the PC was set up we removed an old printer, which the Guest account still chooses as the default printer with every new login. This has proven to confuse a lot of guest users trying to print documents.I can login to the administrator account and forget / remove the printer / change the default printer in Settings, and it will of course save the next time I log in. However, I cannot get this to work in the Guest Settings. If I remove the device, it pops back up the next time

Shared PC Guest Account as default Login Option

I am in a project to deliver a public use Guest Kiosk Windows 10 cloud first InTune managed device. I am leveraging the Shared PC functionality and the Guest login with account maintenance to clear the profile on log out (I have a idle logout task). I've
set the Account Model to 0 which is said to be Guest Only the CSP documentation.

Is there a way as least default the Guest account as the log in option as Other user always is on top as seen below.





Other user is nice to have as these will have Azure AD admins but Guest needs to be default for public no-password logins.

 

Shared USB printer on a PC in Shared PC Mode

We have three public computers that have shared PC mode enabled. The public use the Guest account to log in.



A USB printer is attached to one of the computers and the shared printer option enabled.



On the other two computers I am able to go into the Guest account:

settings -> devices -> printers and scanners -> add a printer or scanner -> the printer I want isn't listed -> select a printer by name

and add the printer via the host computer ip address and printer name i.e. \\192.168.60.95\Brother etc.



This works and the printer can be used across the three computers, however when we log out of the guest account of the other computers the shared computer is forgotten and needs to be set up again.



Is there a way to configure it so that the shared printer is always available to the guest accounts?



I have tried using the Administrator account to add the printer to the other PC's however this does not add it to the Guest accounts.



I am aware that when a Guest account is logged out of, this account is deleted and a new Guest account is created at next login.

 

Autologon with guest account in Windows 10 LTSB Shared PC mode

Hello,

I recently discovered Shared PC mode on Windows 10, which gives me the chance to have my users login as guest, as I needed.

But I can't configure an automatic logon into this account at boot, because when you choose to login without an account it creates a new account with a new name.

Is there a way to achieve this?
