  1. Windows 10 shows CMYK images as negative on new computer

I've used Windows 10 for a number of years. I do a lot of graphic design and recently updated our computer system. Now all of my saved CMYK images appear and print in negative form in Windows Explorer.

I have researched Windows forums and Googled for answers without any luck. I tried changing a few color management settings and calibration of monitors dual monitors - one ASUS and one MSI. I also tried installing SageThumbs -- but the images are still in negative.

I can't understand why these files changed appearance in Windows Explorer or how to resolve the issue. I have the same monitors, printers, and operating system as before. The images did not appear in negative mode prior to the new computer. The images print in negative mode as well, which they didn't do prior to the new computer.

I have a few thousands images that are impacted. Other threads have suggested converting them to RGB. Since this condition didn't exist before and it would take countless hours to perform this task, this isn't a workable solution.

I also do photography and all of my photo images are fine.

This has to be a missing plugin or color management issue. Can someone please share their insight if they experienced and fixed this same problem?

    :)

Explorer: CMYK jpeg thumbnails in negative

I thank you guys very much, but I do know the differences between RGB and CMYK. And I can easily convert images and some of their specs using IrfanView, CorelDRAW, Corel PHOTO-PAINT, paint.net, or GIMP.

The issue I'm trying to understand is why Windows shows CMYK jpeg/jpg thumbnails in negative. And, of course, how to fix it.
