Windows 10: Windows 10 shutting down after selecting it from the grub menu

I am a 16 year old Linux user Ubuntu 18.04.5 LTS, and I have been for the past 2 years. I have been dual booting from my MSI laptop GS63VR Stealth

I don't know how it exactly happened, But I just went I to boot up my computer and selected the windows 10 option like usual, and it started booting but then suddenly my computer shutdown. I tried multiple times and each time my computer would shutdown before the windows loading screen would appear. I would see the MSI loading screen, but then immediately it would shut down.

I tried going to different websites, none had an answer. I went to the grub and selected System Setup, then I tried to restore everything to the default setting, but it did not help, nothing changed. I tried changing how windows 10 booted and nothing changed.

How should I fix this?

Feature suggestion: Add right-click menu

Suggestion: Please add a Windows 7 Jump-List and/or right-click menu to the GPU-Z icon in the Windows taskbar. Possible menus in it would be "Exit" and "About GPU-Z...".
Maybe also "Switch to tab 1/Switch to tab 2/Switch to videocard 1/Switch to videocard 2" too.
Examples of programs that have such menus are ICQ, Skype, AIM.

NOTE: It seems for a right-click menu, Windows 7 is not needed - it works on WinXP and Vista too.
But even a Windows 7 Jump-list may be good enough.

Windows 10 not showing up in dual boot menu(GRUB)

The problem is not solved, i never reached that stage as the laptop is not failing to boot- it is opening with phoenix just fine. Only the menu doesn't show windows 10 .

I tried editing the menu.lst file in grub folder from within Phoenix OS, here are the commands:

title windows 10

root(hd0,1)

makeactive

chainloader +1

I received the following error after rebooting and selecting windows 10 from the list:

BOOTMGR is missing

Press ctrl+alt+del to restart

Please help .

Your issue is usually caused by incorrect configuration of the Boot Loader.

As a workaround, follow the steps below:

• First, restart your PC or laptop.
• After restarting you see the Grub menu.
• In the Advanced Options menu you will see an entry Recovery Menu that you need to select.
• Carefully select the grub – Update grub boot loader option.
• It will automatically add an entry for Windows 10 to the boot menu.

If the steps won't resolve the issue, we strongly advised to reach out with Ubuntu support. Otherwise, revert back to single boot system.
