Windows 10 sign-in requirement changes by Microsoft?

Previously, when the Windows 10 sign-in box appeared at boot up, I would just hit enter because in practical effect my sign-in was no entry at all. This was true for a good many years on Windows 10 Pro.

Now it seems that I must sign into my new computer with Windows 10 Home using either my full Microsoft ID or a pin a created as an ID substitute.

Can I change some setting on my PC to go back to signing in just by hitting enter, or is it the case that Microsoft has changed Windows 10 practices and policies such that signing in by hitting Enter with no pin or full ID entered will not work anymore to get me into my own PC?

Why would Windows 10 Pro allow no ID entry on sign-in, whereas Windows 10 Home does require a sign in. Should that be the other way around?

Would changing my pin to four spaces allow me to sign in by just hitting enter, not keying in any characters in the ID area, as was true for me for many years?

    :)

    Windows 10 Tweaks

As you may already know, Windows 10 (as well as Windows 8) allow you to log in with a valid Microsoft account, instead of creating a local account that only works on your machine. However, you may prefer to keep a local account for privacy reasons. If you do, though, some Windows 10 features—like Cortana—may not work. Despite the default behavior, the Windows 10 Store is not one of them. You can still log in to your Microsoft account for just the Store without switching to a full Microsoft account. The process, however, is not terribly obvious. To do so, follow these steps:

    • Launch the Store from your Start menu.
    • Click the user icon next to the search box.
    • Click “Sign-in” from the menu that appears.
    • Choose “Microsoft account” and log in like normal.
    • When the “Make it yours” box appears do not enter your password. Instead, click “Sign in to just this app instead.”

  3. Microsoft Selects Dolby Audio for Windows 10

it would've been great if microsoft added HEVC decoders, LAV filters along with other codecs with Windows 10, and developing WMP to be better than VLC, KMPlayer and such sorts of media players.

Nevertheless, this is good step for microsoft, by far.

    Windows 10 sign in requirement

Microsoft should make the W10 sign in requirement optional. I can understand the security necessity in an office or other working environment, but there are many situations where this type of security is not an issue and the sign in is just an added inconvenience.
I was able to remove my W10 PIN Sign-in in at Sign in Options under Accounts. However, that created an even greater nuisance by requiring my Microsoft account sign in. I noticed an earlier post has outlined steps to remove the account sign in using netplwiz and some registry mods. Is this the way I should proceed now to get W10 to come from boots and sleep without human intervention ?
