Windows 10: windows 10 signin completion

My pc does ncot complete the sign-in routing. goes from hello screen to small windows splash to black screen with rotating circle cursor and stays there for as long as 5 days. tried start-off-start-off routine but no support routine comes up just blank blue screen for one full day plus. started after screen notice of update. i have no idea of update number....ran testing of memory, HD and processors-- all passed.

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

Re-signin

Problem: read or doze for not many seconds and Windows 10 makes me re-signin. How to avoid or lengthen time? Guru Kirin suggested typing power and sleep, then selecting same. How does one do that? I get the words power and sleep, or by clicking, I get
them on white field with blue background. But I cannot get to next step: select time. Time is not a choice I can find. Next step goes undone, and I don't achieve goal.
