Windows 10: Windows 10 Slow Download Speed

Hi people,

Hoping for some help on this one, I know similar issues have been covered before but I've still been unable to find a fix.

As above I'm struggling with slow download speeds, I have tested the broadband and have results averaging around 50-55mbps however when downloading updates, files, games etc on my PC I am only getting 6mbps at best. I have tried a few fixes and am now at a loss as to what to do. I am connected through WiFi and when I check in task manager it shows my speed from the router to PC as around 50mbps so no issues there either. I have also tried connecting via ethernet which made no difference.

Apologies if this has already been covered but I was unable to find a similar thread only ones where the connection to the PC is low.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Microsoft store download speeds and windows 10 app load speeds are very slow

Hi Riel,

• The latest update I have showing is "2018-02 Cumulative update for Windows 10 Version 1709 for x64 based system KB4074588"
• I've tried all the below steps suggested by Eeshwar Kumar in this link: Why is Windows Store's download speed so slow?
• And also all by Jane La in the below: Microsoft Store Very Low Download Speeds

Windows 10 download speed issues

Try this method:

• First of all from Start Menu, open Settings (Type settings in the search bar and it will appear).
• locate and select “Update and Security“.
• in this window, Locate “Advanced Options”. Click on it.
• In Advanced Options; Click on “Choose How Updates are Delivered“.
• Turn off Updates from more than one place.

Your system will not work as a seeder for other Windows 10 users. It will give sudden boast to your Slow internet speed.
