For the past week, atleast once a day Windows 10 soft locks in a strange way, where I can still move the mouse and keyboard for a while, and videos still play, and I can close programs, but nothing else opens up. It's happened a few times now so I kept nzxt monitor open to try to see what's happening, but that also locks up after a point, and the temperature on GPU and CPU is fine around 34 C. Most of the time, it's only Chrome opened. As far as I can see on resource monitors, nothing crazy is being utilized either in task manager. Anyone have any idea what's up here?

I also tested memory problems to see if there were any issues, but none were picked up. Ran Avast, didn't pick up viruses. Nothing in event viewer either, or reliability monitor, save for me having to hard reset the computer after it happens.

I also have updated Windows 10 to the latest version, checked all drivers including graphics drivers, those are up to date. Sound drivers are also up to date.

    Thank you.

    :)

  2. video usage

    Hi,

    • Let us know whether the issue is specific to online videos or it is happening with other videos present in your system too?
As the initial troubleshooting steps, I would suggest you to check all the available Windows Updates. Installation of recent Windows Updates should fix the issue.

If the issue still persists, then try updating the Display driver and check. Here is the steps:

    • Press Windows Key + R on your desktop screen to go to run command box.
    • Type devmgmt.msc and hit Enter.
    • In Display Adapter, expand Display Adapter, right-click , and then click
      Update.

Please do let us know if you need any other assistance with Windows in future. We will be happy to assist you.

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK
