  1. Windows 10 Sound Issues

    Hi,

I have a very specific sound issue, that's incredibly annoying. I have tested 3 different head-sets in different ports, so I know it's my PC that's at fault somewhere, not the device.

When I'm listening to anything, if the sound is low, it cuts out. It's hard to explain, but it makes a very faint click "t" sound, a very short pause then the sound comes back. But it repeats this constantly. So, the answer is to turn the sound up, almost deafening me!

But then certain music/games etc cause it to go crazy again. So even though its on much louder than I really want, I go back to cutting out sound.

I've gone through every process in the following link several times:

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4520288/windows-10-fix-sound-problems

    Can anyone help?

Worth noting - the PC thinks I have USB Speakers plugged in, but its a head-set with a microphone. I doubt this is the issue, but thought i'd mention it. I have re-installed drivers multiple times.

Whilst re-installing some drivers before, I uninstalled every sound device whilst still having music playing. When I uninstalled my audio drivers, the music carried on - until I uninstalled my webcam drivers. At that point, music stopped coming out of my headset. It was the last driver to be removed. Relevant?!?

    Thanks all,
    Dave

    :)
